Malaysia's electric train service, which halves JB-KL rail travel time, to be completed next month

Fifteen years after Malaysia first launched its electric train service, the project is set to be completed in about a month. The ETS, which travels at a maximum speed of 160kmh and makes 22 trips a day, connects major cities across the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It will cut travel time between Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur to about three and a half hours. Commuters have welcomed the service, describing it as a better experience than travelling by bus and a more affordable alternative to flying. Amir Yusof reports.
